How to practice with it
- 1.Start slowly enough to play every note or change cleanly.
- 2.Listen for the accented first beat and keep each repetition aligned with the bar.
- 3.Raise the tempo in small steps only after the movement remains relaxed and accurate.
Understanding the pulse
In 2/4, 3/4 and 4/4, each click is one beat. The first click is accented so you can hear where each bar begins.
In 6/8, the metronome plays six clicks at the displayed tempo, with a strong beat 1 and a secondary accent on beat 4 to make the 3 + 3 grouping clear.
